Context

Our team consisted of 6 members, including myself as an overall UI/UX designer. We had other UX designer in the project, I helped in the whole process as a collaboration and I helped in the ideation phases too.

Our goal was to gain insights into how couples interact with this brand, what were their pain points and challenge. How we could improve their experience to meet their needs and expectations better.

The goal was to create a website that would appeal to couples who enjoy cooking and spending time together, and that would help them to see the value of the book and encourage them to purchase it.

By the end of this project, we provided a comprehensive understanding of the user experience of this new brand, identified areas for improvement, and made actionable recommendations to enhance the overall user experience and growth with us.

Users and needs

  • Love has no time restrictions, we conducted a research based on person’s interests, not on their age - we had partners from all different age sections.

  • In this project, we had explored the experiences of couples who interacted with this brand's products and services, specifically in the context of our services.

  • We took a deep dive into the user feedback and explored various touchpoints where couples interacted with the brand, such as their website, social media channels, recipes, music and emotions.

  • Through a variety of research methods, such as user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, we gathered insights into the user experience and identify areas for improvement.

Problems

Our main problem was to implement the book’s abilities into a consistent and fulfilling website for both the registered users who already know our product and for the new, unregistered customers also. Keep up the communication with the users and hear their voice while solve the pain points like feedback through different sections like their favourite musics, meals.

Goals

  • Attract new users/clients

  • Include multiple functions to showcase our product

  • Coherent usability of all sections and the whole platform

  • Create a solution that offers values to the users

  • Keep users engaged

My Role

As the UX designer, I collaborated closely with a cross-functional team of developers, product managers, and with other UX designers. My responsibilities included conducting user research, creating wireframes, presenting my workflow for iterate and ensuring the design aligned with both user needs and business goals.

Approach

Our approach was grounded in user-centered design principles. We began with 20 in-depth user interviews and a survey that received over 300 responses. These insights informed the creation of personas and user journeys, which guided our design process. We also conducted competitive analysis, comparing the user experiences of 5 leading apps in the market.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was the continuous iteration and finding the perfect balance that met the expectations of both the test subjects and the project contributors. There were key dilemmas in creating the perfect user experience, which arose in specific regions such as maintaining transparency and usability.

Solutions

The final design simplified the onboarding process, reducing the number of steps from 7 to 4. We introduced a progress bar to guide users and a welcoming interface that personalized the experience. Our wireframes and prototypes went through three iterations, each validated through user testing, to ensure usability and satisfaction.

Results

The impact of the iteration onboarding process led to a 35% increase in user engagement and a 20% reduction in the time taken to complete onboarding tasks. Additionally, customer satisfaction scores improved by 25% within the final stage of the project.

Next Steps

Moving forward, we plan to implement an in-app feedback system to continuously gather user input, enabling us to make iterative improvements. Additionally, we aim to explore A/B testing for new features to further enhance user engagement.
